Matching pair of 1982-1987 CALIFORNIA "The Golden State" vehicle license plates or tags. Tag #2DCD693. Blue on reflective white with Art Deco style State name centered on top & "The Golden State" centered on bottom. Awarded "Plate of the Year" for best new license plate of 1983 by the Automobile License Plate Collectors Association; the first and, to date, only time California has been so honored. Plates are in top-notch condition. Clean, NO rust, creases, or extra holes. The front plate is in near mint condition, whereas the back plate shows some light scuffs from road use. Colors are sharp & vibrant. Measures ~12" x ~6". Would make a fine to your vintage license plate collection!!
