A 1900s postcard published by Reutlinger & featuring the talented Louis Myriel. We know that she was born in Limoges in the 19th Century & then after being awarded distinctions at school she completed her theatrical skills at the Conservatoire de Paris. Highlights of her career were performances at Brussels, Reims & Vichy. The Reutlinger Photography Studio opened in Paris in 1850 & was founded by Charles Reutlinger, of German descent. The studio passed to his brother Emile in 1880, who ran the studio until 1890 & it was his son Léopold who took over & developed the postcard business. He then proceeded to develop the black & white photograph by hand tinting & sometimes adding Art Deco imagery. This postcard was produced for the Théâtre. Size The postcard measures 5 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches Condition in very good vintage condition, slight wear to edges. Few marks. Please see photos.
