Large Letter Greeting, Greetings from Petersburg, VA. Nice scenes from Petersburg area in each LARGE letter. Card 10 in very nice condition. Back of card reads: On May 8, 1607, the first colonists came to the mouth of the Appomattox River, but it was not until 1646, when Governor Berkeley built Fort Henry on the site where the city now stands, that Petersburg began. Nearby lived Pocahontas, Virginia's most romantic figure. By the time of the Revolution, Petersburg had become a flourishing town. Publisher: Powers News Agency, Size: 3.5" x 5.5". Postmarked 1942.
