Original 1898 Stone Lithograph from "Les Maitres de L'Affiche" Plate. 132 Artist: Wm. Carqueville Title: Lippincott's Magazine August Size: Approx 11" x "15 Les Maitres de L'Affiche was a collection of 256 color stone lithographs, reproducing large format posters of the era. Created during the Belle Epoque in Paris, by Jules Cheret with the printer "Imprimerie Chaix" between 1895-1900. It was distributed as a subscription, sending 4 prints monthly in a smaller (11" x 15") size. This allowed a broad audience to view & acquire some of the most influential posters of the era. This is an original 19th Century print not a modern reproduction. Condition: Great; suitable for display or framing! Beautiful Print with Bright Color - Embossed seal from the printer, in the bottom right corner of page. - Very Minor spotting, foxing, or toning, typical of a print this age - Please review the pictures for the most accurate representation of condition, as it can be subjective & hard to articulate.
