Beautiful vintage early 60s skirted suit by Towncliffe hand tailored out of navy & fuchsia check wool. Sold at Lewis & Thos. Saltz Co. Washington DC the haberdasher that outfitted businessmen, congressmen & lobbyists. The jacket has a Peter Pan collar, bracelet length sleeves, large navy blue lucite buttons, flattering split detail on each side of the front at the hem, the length comes down to top of hip. The skirt is a straight style falling below the knee, there is a zipper & hook & eye on left side. The suit is fully lined in navy blue rayon. Very well made suit & a really great look. This was a very high end piece at that time & it does show still the quality it is just as nice now as it was when it was new. This piece comes from my personal collection. Mint vintage condition.
