For sale is a large, antique, warded lever padlock made in the late 1800s & early 1900s. Steel body & shackle. Has a nice, substantial 3-dimensional brass keyway. in excellent clean & rust-free mechanical condition with a shackle that opens manually. (This early padlock was made without a shackle spring.) Above the keyway is a small brass plaque that reads, "Improved Patent Lock." The shackle is stamped with what looks like the name of the manufacturer, but the letters are too small to make out. Comes with 2 gorgeous steel barrel keys. Measures approximately 4 1/2" tall & 3 1/4 inches at the widest point. Coin is for size comparison purposes only. Happy to combine shipping.
