The object: Super cute beautifully glazed/painted pair of ceramic ocean seashells with intricate pattern & glaze. designed by John Andersson at Andersson & Johansson in Höganäs, Sweden. They were thrown & decorated by hand at the Höganäs factory in the 1950s. Small unique gems from from one of the Swedish pottery masters! Largest shell approximately 8 cm x 4 cm & smaller is approximately 4,5 cm in length x 2 cm tall. Signed Höganäs, J.A.. in excellent vintage condition, shiny & fresh glaze as per photos. The artist: John Andersson was a ceramicist & designer born in 1899, he was the artistic leader at Andersson & Johansson pottery in Höganäs, Sweden. He designed a lot of household goods & many classical services. He is also well known for his small miniature objects in ceramics. John Andersson died in 1969.
