This terrific collection of 14 antique motor vehicle chauffeur badges were issued in New York from the years 1915 - 1928. The badges were distributed to qualified taxi cab drivers or drivers of other paid car services & feature different colors of enamel. The set includes badges manufactured by Dieges & Clust, Bastian Brothers Co., Henry Moss & Co, American Emblem Co., & a very rare badge from S.G. Adams S&S Co. The badges all come with their original screwbacks. EMBLEM CO. / UTICA, N.Y. The badges are in very good condition with some having scratches/discoloration that is mentioned for accuracy. Sizes vary with the smallest badge measuring 1.25" by .875" & the circular badge measuring 1.5" from edge to edge. The triangular S.G. Adams S&S Co. badge measures 1.5" wide & 1.375" from top to bottom. The metal badges themselves have a combined weight of 11oz. This assembly of antique chauffeur license badges displays beautifully & would be a fantastic addition to an existing grouping of chauffeur badges.
