Beltane is a Celtic Pagan celebration of fertility, love & life! Spring has sprung & here we are midway between Spring & Summer. Flowers are blooming, the sun shining, & love is in the air! in Ireland & Scotland, bonfires would be lit atop hills to stand over the farms & towns below, the cattle driven between fires as a means of requesting protection for them. This is likely asking Brigid to give them good health, as she is a healer of animals. The fires, (Also a Brigid thing) a representation of the sun. Handfasting would occur during the festivities as Love & oaths taken were considered sacred during Beltane. Dancing, Drinking & lovemaking were definitely in the plans. Many other countries had their own Beltane festivities under the name May Day- the May Pole is common around Europe. Ribbons hung from the top of the pole, usually of various colors & dancing around the Maypole was part of the rituals taking place at this time. This fragrance is a blend of Lily of the Valley, Bergamot & Green Leaves. Lily of the Valley is a May Day flower, used traditionally throughout Europe but especially in France where it began as the official May Day flower in the 1500's. Lily of The Valley Bouquets can still be purchased on May Day today. Our Body Oils are made with high quality fragrance oils. They are packaged in 2 oz glass bottles. Ingredients: High quality fragrance/essential oils. To Use: After your shower or bath, LIGHTLY pat dry & apply the Body Oil to damp skin. Once applied, you can again pat dry, if needed. By applying the oil to damp skin, you're able to stretch the oil a little further & ensure a smooth, & more even application. Perfume Oil: 10 ml Glass Roller Bottles (Stainless Steel roller ball) Ingredients: High Quality Fragrance/Essential Oils, Organic Coconut Oil Use: Shake the bottle well to redistribute the fragrance. Apply to pulse points (wrists, behind the ears, neck, chest, etc.). Apply as needed. Sugar Scrub: 10 - .5) oz plastic container Ingredients: Sugar, Oils (may include: Almond Oil, Rose Hip Oil, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Jojoba Oil), Vitamin E, Lavender flowers, fragrance/essential oils To Use: While in Shower or bath (towards the end), apply a dime to quarter size amount on hand & scrub in circular motion, Rinse well. BE CAREFUL to not slip! You're using a product with oil in a watery environment. This is an exfoliant so please go gentle. Do not apply around eyes (or face if you've got sensitive skin).
