These pictures represent the strand you would be buying. This is Chinese turquoise at its best; beautiful blue with small amount of striking patterns of black matrix. Blue Chinese turquoise is very beautiful in its own way, unlike North American turquoise, even the bluest Chinese turquoise still has a tiny hint of mint shade. The faceting done on these teardrops are superb, intricate enough to be incorporated into fine jewelry designs. These pieces are a little thicker than most teardrops, 4.5-6.8mm thick. This batch of turquoise is stabilized, but not dyed. Most turquoise needs some form of treatment due to its softness, & there are lots of different processes. There's a "clear treat" in which acrylic resin is applied but no color is added, this batch reflects that treatment.
