Cork Fabric with a cotton/poly blend backing. This fabric can be sewn on a domestic home sewing machine & is great for jewelry, bags, zipper pouches, wallets & anything that you would need or prefer a durable leather like fabric. This fabric is thick enough that you don't need to use stabilizers or interfacings unless you want to. Sizes available are 5"x 8" sheets, 8"x 10" sheets (SOME COLORS ALSO AVAILABLE in 18" x 36" Rolls - GO TO CORK FABRIC ROLLS SECTION FOR AVAILIBILITY) Cork fabric is a sustainable & ecofriendly material made of cork tree bark shavings which are compressed & laminated/adhered to a fabric support backing. Once the bark is harvested from the tree it will regrow & the tree renews itself multiple times during its life making this material renewable & environmentally friendly. Cork fabric has a similar feel & durability to leather which is why is frequently called "cork leather." It is flexible, hypoallergenic, waterproof, stain resistant & can easily be cut or sewn which makes it perfect for a multitude of uses. Thicknesses of cork fabric range from approximately 0.70mm to 1.05mm - please see photos for specific thickness of this particular listing. All sizes are precut & will not be sold in continuous pieces if multiples of a single item are ordered.
