~ Hello & welcome to The Textile Trunk! ~ Please come join us on Instagram: @textiletrunk ~ This textile is French & dates from around 1900-1910! It is / was used as a curtain , mostly likely from a ciel de lit, for a bed hanging! ~ This piece has lovely applique hand worked in a lovely decorative way! It needs a good cleaning ( I suggest dry cleaning) but I left is as is for collectors! the tone of the ground is a tomato red / oragne & gold is the collor of the applique! Ideal for so many creative projects! MEASUREMENTS : This piece measures approximately 63 inches by 63inches CONDITION : This curtain panel is in as found, not freshly cleaned condition. It is grubby & could use a dry cleaning! Please use the zoom feature to view the exact condition ~ There are some marks that I don't think will fully wash ~ there is some damage on one of the corners! All condition reflected in the price ~ lovely , but not without signs of time & use that are often inherent in the textiles used in homes 100 years ago!
