Sandi Dyer Nationally recognized commercial artist Sandra "Sandi" Dyer died Saturday, April 8, 2000 after battling cancer for several months. She was only 44, the Mother of 3 - & 8-year-old daughters & a 22-year-old son. Born & raised in Lyons, Kansas, she fine tuned her artistic talents at the Kansas Vocational-Technical School & began free-lance work. She then accepted a job in the Art Department of the Baptist Sunday School Board in Nashville. She moved to Claremore in 1984. She quickly gained recognition & a loyal following of collectors with her innovative style of mixing "graphite with a spot of watercolor." Her Oologah art & frame shop, Visual Expressions is shown in the illustration.
