The company was named Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad in 1855 after the merger of several Midwestern railroad companies. The railway operated mainly in the Midwest but expanded throughout the west including Colorado & Texas. Fantastic stock certificate that was issued from the mid 1890s to 1901 that features a nice coal locomotive & rail workers in the vignette. Hand signed.
