Ikkuna metsässä means Window in a Forest. This tile is a rare collectible from HLS early period. Heljä Liukko-Sundström (simply HLS) was one of the best-known artists at Arabia, as she worked over five decades for Arabia Finland. HLS is a multi talented person: except these fine naive pictures she has also authored books for children. Heljä worked & designed also glass paperweights for Iittala glass-works. This small ceramic tile is from her early period, designed in 1982. Dimensions: Thickness 3-4 millimeters Height 115 mm Wideness 115 mm Weight 140 g Material: ceramics, glazed surface This tile is in almost perfect condition: no marks of usage. The hanger made of cardboard is worn: it must be strengthened with glue (or changed) before hanging. The tile is signed: H.L-S Arabia -82. On the back side appears an Arabia Finland stamp with Atelje marking. Shipping cost is according 1.0 kg weight on the chart.
