Vintage pair of commemorative solid aluminum embossed plates made in the USA by Pewtarex of York, Pennsylvania. The plates were made in 1976 for the State of Missouri to celebrate the bicentennial of the United States. One of the plates features the Buchanan County Court House & the other shows a Pony Express horse & rider. The Pony Express originated in St. Joseph, Missouri. The plates measure approximately 10 1/2 inches in diameter. The plates are in excellent condition, & would make wonderful July 4th decor, or a gift for any fan of American history or specifically the history of the State of Missouri. The plates are in very good condition. The plates are for decorative purposes, & are meant to be used with an easel type plate stand on a table, or a wall plate hanger.
