Description
An antique figural bird form Battersea or South Staffordshire enamel bonbonniere. The lid has a bronze mount & a bird on a branch decoration. Date: Mid to Late 18th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall fair, as-pictured used estate condition with old repairs & significant overpaint. Condition Details: The lid is repainted. The entire interior has overpaint. The exterior has a matte finish & has likely been repainted or re-glazed. Otherwise, there are hairlines visible, fine & light scratches here & there, & other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Measurements: Height: ca. 2 1/2 in. Width: ca. 2 1/2 in.
