A nice souvenir novelty plate from the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition held on Treasure Island in San Francisco California. This large plate features colorful scenes of the Exposition around the border which include the golden gate bridge, tall buildings, Asian pagodas, purple elephants & other art deco style buildings. The center of the plate has the 1939 San Francisco Bay Golden Gate International Exposition logo in the center in gold & the rim is outlined in gold. It was produced by the Homer Laughlin China Co as an official souvenir of the Expo. The plate measures 10.125" wide. It looks very nice overall with nice color on the border & minimal signs of past use & slight surface wear from long term storage.
