A true vintage piece: Flattened calcite rhombohedral crystals of calcite (nailhead calcite) overlaying each other, & situated on top of a brown stone matrix. There is a very subtle & pastel tint to the crystals, but I cannot put a name to itthe pictures very closely resemble the piece's coloration. It came from one of the four massive limestone quarries in Steeden, Limburg, Hesse, Germany. Ex Brandt collection. Comes with old label. Measures roughly 4.25 x 2.5 x 1.75". Weighs 9.6 oz.
