Description
This is a lovely festoon necklace after several I have seen in portraits, prints, & existing originals from the early 19th century. You usually see them more common in the 1780's up into the turn of the 19th century - but there was on occasion this style that was earlier. I hand make these lovely necklaces with new & vintage pieces & chain. The lovely gold inlaid in the turquoise cabochon is the focal point for this one. I have added glass pearls inbetween, & a real pearl gold plated clasp. The necklace measures 16 inches long, & I can lengthen it with a couple of extra connectors if so desired. It is lightweight & unique - just the perfect accessory for everyday as well. It is made from gold-plated brass with brass chain. Portrait inspiration is included & also on my Pinterest boards.
