Up for your consideration tonight is Original Mid Century to Vintage Oil On Canvas painting created by the French artist & is signed "Lefresne" in the bottom right corner. The painting is not dated but feels to be from the 1960s perhaps 1970s. It measures 15 x 18 inches for the painting itself & is offered here unframed. The painting came from a French art dealer & that is why I feel confident to say it was done by a French artist. However I was not able to get a full name of the artist. The painting depicts a small town sitting along the French coast line. On a contrary to the French Riviera which is buzzing with fancy resorts & wealthy clients this small town gives rather a mid class working vibe. Small houses located along the bay, couple of boats dragged ashore & few people nearby gathered to have a conversation. The painting has a wire installed & even though it has no frame it will come ready to be hung & enjoyed straight out of the box. Perhaps a gentle clean will enhance the colors of the painting.
