ALWAYS MARKED 925 or STERLING: This is a silver matchbox holder. Remember the older boxes of matches - the wooden ones? Still can get them I'm sure - this is an awesome sterling cover for them. It does have an initial, which looks like a V - not positive on that. Please zoom into the picture to verify. Measurements are: 1 34/" x 1 1/4" & about 1/2" opening.
