Wonderful Swedish bird sculpture by Klas-Göran Klaesson in his own studio. This sculpture has a lovely deep red glaze & a lovely personality. Fantastic piece of art that will fit in any home The sculpture is in excellent condition. Height: 16 cm / 6.3" Width: 16 cm / 6.3" Klase Keramik Höganäs 1959-2018 in 1959, Otto Klaesson started manufacturing utensils & ornaments in stone & earthenware under the name "Klase Keramik". in 1962, Otto's 16-year-old son Klas-Göran Klaesson (Klase J: r) joined the company & a few years later, the son took over production completely. The father then engages in sales of the company's products. in the mid-1980s, they stopped manufacturing useful & household goods & instead switched to figurines & figurine sets. Klase J: r today produces figurines related to the world of fairy tales, mythology, our national poets such as Evert Taube & Bellman & from the animal kingdom. Klase J: r has participated in a number of exhibitions with great success & appreciation. The objects were initially stamped "Klase Höganäs", but when the son took over the production, the stamp was supplemented with "Jr". The property on Bruksgatan, where Klase Keramik was located, changed owners in 2018. in connection with the change of ownership, Klas-Göran was forced to close, thus the era of Klase Keramik is over.
