This is an AUTHENTIC HAND SIGNED ORIGINAL RARE Vintage 8"x 10" BW photo of 8 actors from REPUBLIC PICTURES featuring the autographs by GENE AUTRY, PAT BUTTRAM, FRED SCOTT, SUNSET CARSON, LASH LaRUE, ART DAVIS, BOB LIVINGSTON, & KIRBY GRANT. Republic Pictures Corporation (currently held under Melange Pictures, LLC) was an American motion picture production-distribution corporation in operation from 1935 to 1967, that was based in Los Angeles. It had studio facilities in Studio City & a movie ranch in Encino. It was best known for specializing in Westerns, serials, & B films emphasizing mystery & action. Republic was also notable for developing the careers of John Wayne, Gene Autry, & Roy Rogers. It was also responsible for the financing & distribution of a few A films directed by John Ford during the 1940s & early 1950s & one Shakespeare film, Macbeth (1948), directed by Orson Welles. Under Herbert J. Yates, Republic was considered a mini-major film studio. This is an awesome autographed piece of entertainment memorabilia & will look great framed.
