Stacked sea glass & sterling silver earrings using bar cut sterling silver beads. Approx length/drop 1 1/2" The seaglass is hand collected from the beaches of North East England. Each piece of seaglass that gets washed up on the shore is unique therefore it creates a one of a kind piece of jewellery to be treasured. An ideal gift for a special occasion. Where does the seaglass come from? Seaham was noted for it's glass producing factories in the mid 1800's, but closed in 1921. The glass factory would pour waste glass into the sea at the end of each day which gets washed up onto the shores. The force of the North Sea weathers the glass & smoothed out the sharpened edges of the glass to produce the smooth frosted sea-glass that is used in our jewellery. Due to the different manufacturing process of the glass-making factory it has created uniquely multi coloured pieces of glass which creates the rarest & most unusual sea glass pieces.
