1905 Orange hybrid, Morton Citrange US Department of Agriculture. Published print featuring agriculture developments. Black & white print of fruit at natural size. Published print Printed 1906 9 x 5.75 Inches, high quality vintage print blank on the back thick paper "New" developed fruit varieties. Morton Citrange is one of a number of seedlings from the same fruit. A "cross was made by applying pollen of the sweet orange to a properly bagged flower of the trifoliate orange & from a crossed fruit so secured a dozen hybrid seedlings developed, among them the Colman, Morton, Savage, Rustic, Etonia, Norton, Phelps & Sanford citranges" Based on pollination comments & time of first fruiting, this cross was made in the period between 1896 to 1899 The page is in excellent shape.
