Description
This is a wonderful Art Deco bronze by Bonnie Kramer Macleary (1890-1971) that was just found in an old estate. This bronze is marked around the base "Gorham Co. Foundry OFCW #" & "Bonnie Macleary". It has a nice warm verdigris patina & presents itself really well. It is titled "Ouch" & is missing a tiny bronze crab that was attached to one of her fingers. It is missing as is part of the finger. The bronze figure otherwise is in very good condition as you can see in the photos. There is a bit of the darker patina missing around the standing foot. The base looks to date from the same period as the bronze, 1920s to 1930s. It measures 6 1/2" tall without the base. It is 9" tall with the base. Please let me know if you have any questions.
