Recreation of the sculpture found in Prima Porta, a suburb of Rome, in the villa of Livia. The original, dated from the 1st century A.D., is a marble copy of an earlier bronze model. It is currently on display in the Vatican Museums. The model is clearly inspired by Greek works of classicism such as the Doriphorus of Polyclitus.
