Description
This old framed 20 1/2" by 15 1/4" (to edge of impression) print from a midwest estate is under glass & is in a 20 1/2" by 14" wood frame with some wear to the black painted finish as shown. A little wear as shown in the many attached close-ups. This is an old (likely 19c) reprint of a map first engraved in around 1645. On heavy textured paper & a clear impression. Originally engraved & published by William Blaeu & based on a survey of Scotland by Timothy Pont between 1563 & 1601. It features the Firth of Lorn & bordering provinces in Gaelic & is oriented with north to the right. Please view all of the attached photos for an accurate representation. Great care will be taken in packing with plenty of recycled bubble wrap to ensure safe arrival. I always combine multiple purchases whenever possible to save on shipping.
