This is an adorable pair of vintage Anri Italian Sculpted Wood, old fashion girls; each is holding a heart! They are stamped on the bottom: ANRI Club, Sculpted in Wood, Italy. The artist's signature, Sarah Kay is carved in wood on the back of the bases. These identical figures have hair buns, freckles, & long aprons. They stand on wooden bases. Vivien Kubbos ( an Australian artist) created the Sarah Kay collection in the 1970s. She wanted to portray happy children in a peaceful environment because she had a very ill daughter at the time. She is now retired & in her 70s. These Sarah Kay figures are Anri's, "Gift of Love Girls". Both statues are in excellent, vintage condition. These darling Sarah Kay girls are perfect for collecting, displaying, or gift giving. They would make a wonderful Valentine display or a lovely gift for a Mother & daughter or sisters & more. They would even work nicely on top of a cake.
