Vintage 1960's Hand Hammered Greek Orthodox Church Incense Burner Silver Tone Hanging Burner 22" Long This significant Orthodox incense burner is from our 1973 trip to Greece. At the time we purchased it, the incense burner was considered "vintage" then. Beautifully hand hammered in an elaborate swirl pattern from the base to the very top of the piece. The very top of the piece has a cut out metal design. The dangling cross from the base is an Orthodox symbol. It has a 14" chain attached by three intricate "arms". There is a 3" handle at the top for shaking the incense to the masses. The handle doubles as a lid. There is no evidence that this was ever in actual use. We believe it is one of a kind.
