Description
A watercolor landscape painting of an alpine lake scene, probably located in Switzerland. It was painted by Leonhard Steiner (Swiss 1836-1920). The painting is applied to the top of the mat, it measures 8 1/2 H x 13 W inches. A label on the back depicts where it was most recently framed in Switzerland in 1969. There is a script notation on the bottom back, which appears to read, "Fres de Weisen." CONDITION: Surface frame damage. No flaws found to the watercolor painting, although it has not been examined outside the frame.
