The surface of the silver has fine lines & scratches from wear, which is typical of antique jewelry. The locket opens & closes just fine, & the inside has a red fabric backing, & one of the glass panels is missing. The locket can hold one photo and/or a small keepsake. The necklace is 18" long, the locket measures 2-1/2" tall & 1-1/2" wide, & weighs 42.16 grams. The box is for display only.
