This broach was most likely made in Copenhagen, Denmark in the mid 20th century between 1950 to 1960. The silversmith was Hans Julius R Larsen (JL) who was active in Copenhagen from 1946 to 1973. The modernist pin is constructed with a single leaf & curling tendril design. It is similar to the modernist designs by the well-known Danish silversmith, Georg Jensen. The broach is marked "JL" & "830S". The broach measures approximately 34mm in diameter & weighs 5 grams. It is in very good used vintage condition consistent with age & use. There is some minor surface wear & oxidation. This unique estate piece will make a nice addition to your vintage jewelry collection.
