Description
A nice mid century style tripod vase made by Northwest artist & studio pottery Joanne Strandwold. She graduated from high school in Tacoma, Washington & went on to produce mixed media art & pottery in the 1960's to 70's era in the Northwest. She exhibited her art works at the Edmonds Art Festival, Lewis County Art League & Centralia College in the late 60's to early 1970's era. This hand formed piece has a unique modernist design with three vases joined at the shoulder. Each vase has applied clay designs on the surface & stamped circular designs along the top edge. The inside is glazed to allow these to hold flowers & water. This mid century style vase measures 5" tall by 5.75" wide. The base is signed Strandwold.
