This beautiful Mackinac Bridge steel Triple Cross wall hanging would be perfect for your home, cottage, family room, or even your camper or RV. Made of original Mackinac Bridge road deck steel, these 3 steel Crosses are carefully cut out of an original road deck section as installed back in 1957. The 3 steel Cross pieces are nicely cut from the grating, with ends smoothed, & then dipped in warm satin polyurethane to bring out the original green Mackinac Bridge paint color. The Cross pieces are securely mounted (no visible fasteners) to a very nicely stained & polished piece of poplar wood, for a traditional, clean look. The steel Crosses definitely display the character & wear & tear of over 60 years of Mackinac Bridge traffic - & who knows, you may have travelled over these exact pieces in your trip to or from Michigan's Upper Peninsula! This would be a great gift, or a fantastic addition to your cottage or home family room. Triple Cross traditional mount pieces are apprx 11"L x 5.5W x 2.5"H. Warm Oak shown, other configurations & colors available. Decades ago, this steel grating was originally painted with lead-based paint. Much of the original lead-based paint is gone, but the Buyer needs to agree with the following "Hold Harmless Agreement" related to the lead paint. LEAD PAINT DISCLOSURE (HOLD HARMELSS AGREEMENT): The used steel grating traffic deck sections removed from the Mackinac Bridge have been painted with lead-based paint. This coating existed on the grating at the time of removal from the Bridge & at the time of the original sale of the used grating. The remaining components of the existing paint on the grating is unknown. I understand that the used grating is painted with lead-based paint & that lead based paint is a hazardous material. I understand that wastes that are hazardous must be properly stored, treated, & disposed of in accordance with the Federal Resource Conservation & Recovery Act. I understand the remaining components of the existing paint are not known. I understand the seller is not assuming any obligation regarding the grating condition, & seller disclaims any & all liability arising from the use, resale, or disposal of the grating section once in my ownership. As consideration for the purchase of the used piece of grating from the Mackinac Bridge, the buyer accepts & assumes 100% of the risk involved in owning, using, reselling & disposing of the grate piece, & therefore acquits, relieves, exempts & releases the seller from any & all claims for injury, illness, accident or damages sustained by the use or disposal of the grating piece. The buyer indemnifies & holds harmless the seller for any liability for damages or for injury or illness brought by any negligence of the buyer in connection with the use, resale, or disposal of the grate piece.
