Saw these Lyre & knew they had to be an earring! They are sparkly & just the right size. They measure just shy of 2-1/2 inches long by 3/4 inches wide. I hung them from a gold plated hoop leverbacks to give a nice Regency touch. The pearl that connects the two is made of glass. There is a bit of weight to these, but not heavy. The lyre is a musical stringed instrument that is associated with ancient history & the Greeks. There are portraits with ladies in the late 18th & into the 19th century with a lyre. This lyre has rhinestones studded on the top & bottom, & the CZ earwire ties the two together.
