Wintry Blues scarf handwoven with the all-British wool of various sheep breeds, including Shetland, blended in Cornwall with a touch of alpaca by one of the UK's most sustainable woollen mills. Gentle lavendar blues with mauve & khaki for earthen accents in subtle longitudinal stripes & the hint of small, irregular, geometric, longitudinal patterns: a pink dusk seascape of the softest sort. A plain weave, as per all my scarves & larger garments, makes for a looser, finer cloth than when I weave the same yarn in a cushioned twill (as per the snugs in the same colours). Neatly finished with a blanket stitch & wilder ends, these three scarves measure 13 1/2 or 14" wide with pony-mane tassles that I will trim to half-inch manageable fringes if you tell me that you prefer convenience over flambuoyance. in the pictures you see them modelled on a 5'8" UK women's size 12 with a 12.5" neck. Softness rating 3.5/5 (where 5 is best - see above charts) Itch factor 2/5 (where 0 is best) Sustainability rating 4/5 (where 5 is best) Care: To avoid felting or shrinkage, I recommend handwashing only, in cool water, with minimal agitation. Ecoleaf or similar will give a clean, unperfumed, soapy smell that preserves the integrity of the wool. Please note, in case of allergy, that my items come from a home with a dog, but will smell fresh.
