The top is protected by 1/8" thick plexiglass. Sitting on 1/2" raised feet, the power cord slides under the case wherever it is most convenient. This listing includes a 40" Insignia FHD TV (model NS-40D510NA21) that will ship separately. Installation is very easy with no tools required. Takes about 5 minutes. So fast that you can remove the TV & have it work double duty when not in use for a session.
