Cool pair of Art Deco Candlesticks. Candles not included. See few other & said to be polished chromium Art Deco "Taurex" candle holders, number 24004, by Walter Von Nessen for the Chase Metalworks Company. Walter Von Nessen, a leading proponent of the American Streamline Modern design movement, created many of his pieces for Chase from the copper tubing & brass fixtures already in production. These candlesticks, designed in 1933, were manufactured by Chase until their discontinuation in 1937. Removable Cup drip collars have the name Chase & the chase mark on the underside, two cups are tight fitting & two are loose fitting. Tall side is 10" tall & short side is 7 1/2" tall, base has 4" diameter with original red felt bottoms. across the two arms is 8 1/2". Drip collars have 2 1/2" diameters & looks to take 3/4" diameter candles. Each weighs nice 2 pounds. These candlesticks are in good vintage condition, with aging & wear throughout, with scratches scuffs, tarnishing, discoloration, fogging, slight bending to drip collars, staining, finish wearing off, candle wax & still look marvelous!
