STAMP INFORMATION: Name: North American Wildlife: Eastern Chipmunk Year: 1987 Face Value: 22 cents History: On June 13, 1987 the USPS issued a set of stamps with 50 different designs celebrating the wildlife of North America. The animal subjects were chosen to reflect the geographic & biological diversity of creatures native to this continent. The 50 pencil-drawn designs were created by wildlife artist Chuck Ripper with many of the animals pictured with flora common to their habitats. This stamp features an Eastern Chipmunk. These stamps are perfectly suitable for use as postage for mailing with USPS, as long as you use the adequate amount of postage to achieve standard postage rates.
