The last photo shows the Merino/silk/flax on some other semisolids, so you get the idea, until I get photos of this color dyed on that base. Please ExPECT variation between braids. It is very difficult to capture all the nuances in semisolids, especially to have them translate to different monitors & screens. The photo is representative of the colorway & accurate on my phone & computer screens. About the fibers: Polwarth wool combed top. This batch is SUPER soft, my supplier says 21-24 microns, it's definitely down towards 21 microns. So yummy!! A lovely spin, skin friendly & easy drafting. Falkland Islands Merino wool combed top. 20-22 microns. This Falkland is so soft & silky!! It has the characteristic bright whiteness, & makes for a lovely spin, skin friendly & easy drafting. Silky, shiny Bluefaced Leicester wool combed top. The softest of the longwools, BFL has a lovely sheen & yields a drapey yarn. Targhee wool combed top. A lovely spin, with a fine yet powerful crimp. Your yarn will have lots of trapped air & a wonderful elasticity. Targhee is super skin friendly, too! Grown & processed in the USA. 18.5 micron Merino wool combed top. This base is one of my favorites. It is extremely soft yet has a little body. It's easy to spin, having just enough tooth to not slip through your fingers, & the staple length is just right. It's also a favorite of wet & nuno felters. 50/25/25 23 micron Merino wool/tussah silk/flax combed top. Wide stripes of silk & flax with sweet Merino wool in a combed top preparation. Your yarn will be rustic & full of character. Shiny silk grabs the dye vividly, while the flax remains its natural color.
