Description

FANCY is Reba McEntire's "signature song." That can be argued since she's working toward 30 platinum albums & bunches of Gold & Platinum singles. But even though Bobbie Gentry wrote & made her song a hit in 1970, Reba covered it in her album Rumor Has It & it quickly became a country standard, much like George Jones He Stopped Loving Her Today & Tammy's Stand by Me (both of which are in my listings). The album was released in 1990, but with three of her cuts becoming chart hits, Fancy was released as a single & went Gold (later Platinum) in February, 1991. The Fancy video is one of the most iconic country music videos to-date & is listed along with the song Fancy on many "Top 100 of all time" reviews. It's a Southern Gothic story about an impoverished young woman living in a run down shack in New Orleans who is sent away by her mother to "be nice to the gentlemen, & they'll be nice to you." It was Fancy's one chance & her mom cried, "...don't let me down." Great song & extraordinary performances at Reba's concerts. 15 X 21 shadow box with lifted (3D) graphics. A COA from its maker's estate, Mr. Kenneth Kittinger (Google "Ken Kittinger Gold Records" to authenticate is provenance. Packaged with extreme care & guaranteed safe delivery.
