This is a most beautiful framed original oil painting from the 1970s of breaking beach waves in front of a setting sun on the horizon. It is signed "L Murphy". On the back is written "Irene's Laguna... April 1976". My guess is this piece is Californian in origin. It has a velvet frame with a "gilded" border. This piece measures a rather large 41 3/8" (w) x 23 3/8" (ht) x 2". The actual image measures 35 1/2 width x 17 5/8" height. It weighs 5lb 1oz. Great as a gift or for the collector of vintage art, seascapes, nautical paintings, pictures & other unique items. CONDITION: This item shows signs of age & wear as all great vintage items do.
