Handmade necklace from New Zealand paua shell in a sterling silver setting. Hung on a sterling silver chain. Beautiful bright blue/green colours of the Ocean. Pendant can also be worn the reverse side which has a beautiful mother of pearl inlay. Paua shell is highly reflective, & the colours change with the light & why it is known as the opal of the Sea. The colours may vary on different screens. Paua is a southern Abalone from the Kaikoura coast of New Zealand where the paua live on the rocks just under the waves. The center piece is 2.1 inch long or 5.4cm. Chain length can be custom finished to your requirements or will be sent at the standard length of 18inch.
