Vintage 1985 Lance Hidy "The Children's Memorial Hospital Chicago" serigraph, limited edition 405/740, signed & numbered in pencil beneath the image. Lance Hidy is a graphic artist & educator, primarily specializing in the design of posters, photography books, & corporate branding. Hidy also created the Penumbra typeface family for Adobe, & designed three U. S. postage stamps. After being chosen by Ansel Adams to design the landmark book, Yosemite & the Range of Light (1979), Hidy continues to design the official books for the Ansel Adams Publishing Rights Trust, & Little, Brown & Company, publishers. After a two-year stint as art director for the Harvard Business Review, Hidy turned to education. He worked twenty-one years, part-time, at Northern Essex Community College, teaching design & photography, then specializing in accessible media & Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Hidy's writing on design has been widely published in books & journals. in very good vintage condition with some minimal imperfections. Please view all photos & message me with any questions.
