This hand built pot was created as a "relic" for my exhibition La Ligue Gourmande de Mer. My absurdist seafood dining society from a bygone era. This hand built pot is 6.5 inches wide (8" incl the handle) by 12 inches tall. It travelled to institutions all over Canada for exhibition. Academic Alysha Creighton writes "Gronsdahl's work turns an ethnographic eye on the conventions of social dining, particularly referencing French gastronomical supper clubs through interactive food performances. Inspired by decades of cooking & running restaurants, Gronsdahl's work takes up conventions of the dinner party as a way to explore social conventions & the experience of direct exchange involved in making, serving & sharing a meal."
