Old enameled metal advertising sign. This hung in the window of the clothier or fabric shop in India. It's an "authorized seller" sign for the Binny & Co Ltd manufacturer or Silk & woolens. It also advertises a subsidiary company called The Bangalore Woollen Cotton & Silk Mills Company Limites Binny & Co was started in Chennai in 1797. in 1884 the Bangalore Woolen Mills were established. There are some great graphics on this sign. Well made, sturdy steel sign that is baked enamel. Measures 46 1/4" x 15" Weighs 11 lbs in nice shape overall with some chipping & rust characteristic of age.
