Vintage Battery Operated "Shaking Classic Car" - Marked "JS" & "Made in Taiwan" - Circa late 1950's / early 1960's - Working Condition The toy is designed to operate on two UM-2 batteries (Japan). It will however, operate on 2 "AA" batteries. The exterior of this toy is in very good condition. There are a few small scratches on the tin, but the paint job is in very good condition. There is a small scratch on one side of the toy. When batteries are installed, & the switch is moved, then engine cover lights up. It moves & shakes, but only backwards, while making a grinding sound. It travels in an arc due to the position of the wheels (which cannot be altered). The door to the metal battery compartment opens easily, but shows patina on the inside of the lid. No visible corrosion is on the battery contacts. The toy's accessories: the driver, the engine cover, windshield, tin body, etc. are in good condition. There appears to be a missing plastic piece, which is meant to mimic the folded convertible roof. All other pieces appear to be present. The toy measures about 7.25" long by 3.25" wide & 4 5/8" tall.
