Not One of the Cool Kids is a variegated colorway featuring mallard green, periwinkle, teal & spruce. Targhee is a breed of sheep developed in the United States by the United States Department of Agriculture to be a dual purpose breed - meaning the fleece is lovely to use & the meat is tasty to eat. Targhee wool is next to skin soft & incredibly bouncy & full of squish factor as well as being incredibly durable. I fell in love with it as a handspinner & it's a pleasure for me to be able to offer it to non-spinners as an incredible hand dyed yarn. Targhee worsted is 230 yards per 3.5 oz/100g & knits up at 4 stitches to the inch on a US 6-8 (4.0 - 5.0 mm). It is a 3 ply construction & is handwash only (This yarn will felt!). Dyed in small batches using heavy metal free acid dyes in Allison Park, PA. The yarn is 100% Made in the USA from sheep to skein.
